Tracks 1-3 recorded 2013-2015 Track 4 recorded 2006 (Originally released on the split 7" with Xasthur) Tracks 5 & 6 recorded 2007 (Originally released on the split 7" with Scurshahor) Track 7 recorded 2009 (Originally released on the split 7" with Defuntos) Continuing a resurgent period of endeavor, Tasmania's Striborg returns with another offering comprised of new and rare pieces. Consisting of seven total recordings, "Purifying the River of Tears" exhibits all sides of Sin-Nanna's creative energy through the three new tracks, one in each style of power electronics, black metal and dark ambient. The four rare tracks were originally released between 2006 and 2009 as the Striborg contributions on three split 7" releases with Xasthur, Scurshahor, and Defuntos. "Purifying the River of Tears" is a welcome addition to the Striborg catalogue while also providing a second opportunity to those who may have missed the EPs the first time around. This is the studio version of a live concert originally performed at MONA, January 2014.
