Stroma is a contemporary music ensemble from Wellington, New Zealand, formed in 1999 by Michael Norris, Bridget Douglas, Hamish McKeitch and Philip Brownlee. Stroma's shifting membership is predominantly drawn from members of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, as well as contributions from guest performers. Exploring contemporary music from both New Zealand and abroad, Stroma have performed music by Hayden Chisholm, Rachel Clement, Pablo Furman, James Gardner, Ross Harris, Douglas Lilburn, John Zorn, György Ligeti, Jenny McLeod, Lisa Meridan-Skipp, Tristan Murail, John Rimmer, Kaija Saariaho, Jack Speirs, Toru Takemitsu, and Iannis Xenakis.
