Stryder is an electronic musician, DJ, photographer and label manager/sound engineer of Psychedelic Dance Records from Flanders, Belgium. Sparked from an early age to music, stryder's first steps into music were as a house and techno DJ at the young age of fifteen. Playing stuff he'd heard at a younger age from the now legendary live sets from the Club Fuse in Brussels, the DJ sets of Dave Angel and the cinematic Japanese techno of Ken Ishii became very influential and kindled his interest in music production. About one year later, with the discovery of the psychedelic, otherworldy music of Infected Mushroom (Israel) the desire to produce music became irresistible and around summer 2001 he started producing his first tunes on the computer, thanks to a close friend. After finishing high school and while getting a management degree Stryder organized his first small parties and many DJ sets followed elsewhere... the deejaying went on for a few years, meanwhile always expanding his tastes and music library, and created a liveset comprised of self-written tracks ranging from eerie downtempo psy-trance to uplifting full-on. By this time stryder had also produced tracks in many genres like drum and bass, hip hop, ambient, breakbeats/IDM, techno, trance and crossovers. After some years, the time came for Stryder to focus on his music and the tracks he had been collecting from producers over the years as a DJ. Psychedelic dance Records was then founded in October 2010 and serves as a platform for Stryder's musical vision. Channeling and showcasing many befriended producers as well as his own productions.
