A.k.a. Stuart Mclellan
Stuart started Dj’ing in London in 1990 whilst working in the vinyl distribution trade. In 1994 he set up and ran the 'Pacific Records' label, which was to become a defining techno and house label of that generation showcasing artists such as Carl Craig, Charles Webster, Hot Lizard, Ian O'Brien and Stacey Pullen. From London, he moved to Paris where he co-ran the infamous Sunday 'Cake and Milk' parties on the Batofar, an instant hit in the summers from its start in 1998 through to 2002 where he hosted such guests as Gilles Peterson, Peter Kruder, DJ Harvey, Rainer Truby, Laurent Garnier, Ivan Smagghe and Pete Herbert. Around this time Stuart worked with Pete Herbert for their Pacific Blue parties which they held residencies in La Fabrique in Paris and Club Deep in Madrid, as well as various guest slots around europe, with the emphasis always on getting quality acts involved in the night, guests such as Robert Owens, Maurice Fulton, Kenny Hawkes and David Alvarado graced the decks. Since 2008, Stuart has based himself in Bali, Indonesia, where he has Dj residencies at some of the islands Premier clubs; Potato Head, Ku De Ta, Uluwatu Cliff house and Mrs Sippy. He has also supported guest Djs such as DJ Harvey, Crazy P, Fat Boy Slim, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Purple Disco Machine and Miguel Migs. He also gigs regularly in Singapore at Tanjong Beach Club, C’est La Vie and Potatohead SG.
