Producer of Hip-Hop/Rap
A.k.a. Paul Carlise Pitman
Producer/DJ/emcee Styly Cee has been instrumental in providing Son Records with fat hip-hop instrumentals from day one, and is responsible for many of the classic tracks on the label, including production for artists like C-Mone, Cappo, Midnyte as well as being one-half of group Lost Island. He is also behind the notorious comic creation Pitman, the misanthropic miner with a love of old-school hip-hop, which became something of a cult phenomenon in the UK, with a string of classic 7” singles, 2 albums, a recurring spot on a satirical topical affairs programme on BBC TV, and shows in front of packed crowds the length and breadth of the country. Aside from finding acclaim in the mainstream for his fusion of satirical humor and first class hip-hop production, Styly has always kept one Adidas clad foot firmly in the hip-hop underground and has been celebrated as one of the UK’s premier hip-hop producers, with releases licensed for various compilations, videogames (an unreleased track of his featured on the recent Xbox 360 game ‘Project Gotham Racing 3’) and films (a recent track of his appears on the new Universal-distributed film ‘Life & Lyrics’).
