the Subsystem is a punk rock band from Manchester, New Hampshire that was founded in 1999. Since forming the band has gone under several member changes. Paul Despicable, Chris Murder, and Jason Greenough left at the end of 2007 to focus on their psychobilly project Triple Corpse Horror. In early 2008 the original guitarist and drummer were brought back in with the addition of a rhythm guitarist and new bassist. The Subsystem play a mix of streetpunk and hardcore combining influences from early British Oi! and RAC bands to American hardcore punk bands like Black Flag to the Bruisers and the AntiHeros. As of the summer of 2008 the band is recording their 3rd full length with Orange Bomb Records. the Subsystem has also spawned many side projects that play throughout the New England music scene. Former members now perform in Triple Corpse Horror and J Paige currently plays in the NH punk band the Smashed as well as New England Irish/Folk pub group and popular St. Patricks day musicians Whiskey Prison.
