Sue has been working professionally in the music industry since 1978 and is a highly experienced session singer, performer, songwriter, arranger, music tutor and vocal coach. In 1979 she signed a recording deal with PYE Records producing an album and two singles. Publishing deals include PYE, EMI, Warner Chappell with songs for Sheena Easton, Sad Café, The Little Foxes and Lena Zaveroni. She provided vocals on Star Trek, and the films “Bowfinger”, “The BFG” and “The Big Tease”. She has had Top 10 hits with dance tracks including Hungry Eyes, Kung Fu Fighting, Open Your Eyes and other major releases, including cancer charity hit “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and has a double silver disc presented from AATW records. Sue did a UK tour as back up singer to Russell Watson playing dates at Wembly, The MEN, and other UK arenas and appeared on several of Russell’s albums. Sue co wrote with John Blackwell (drummer for Prince) on his own album. singing lead vocal on “Jada” and backing vocals for Esperanza Spalding. Through that, she was Invited to make a guest appearance with David Garfield and the George Benson band in Manchester. In 2011 she was invited to join USA music business panel “Sticks and Skins” with Liberty Devitto (Billy Joel ) for a music industry seminar and again for their UK tour in 2015. In 2012 she joined Sad Café as keyboard/vocalist for three UK tours and is back on the road with them this year 2018. Sue has been working with with Snake Davis and the Suspicions for the last 14 years and gigs regularly. Notable gigs include provideding back up vocals for Gloria Estefan on European gigs at the Royal Albert Hall and La Baloise in Basel. Most recent live sessioning gig was with Patti Austin in 2018.
