Sufferatory

voc, g, dr, b, *1998 RU
Singer / Musician of Rock

Russian brutal death band from Kazan, Tatarstan, formed in 1998. Their first line up consisted of former members of two bands, Paul - guitars and Klim - bass from Traur and Lenar - drums from God’s Grave and they had no vocalist. As their influences were Suffocation, Gorguts, Sinister, early Cannibal Corpse and Malevolent Creation, Sufferatory had the intention to play only pure brutal death metal. In 1999 they recorded their first demo ‘Systematic Molestation’, consisted of 3 instrumental tracks. In 2000 their first vocalist joined the band and Sufferatory began the gigs. After two years they started to record an album called ‘Compulsory Martyrdom’ with a second vocalist, Eugene. ‘Compulsory Martyrdom’ was released in 2003 by Tribal Production and was limited to 100 copies. In year 2001 Dmitry "Speed" was replaced by Eugene "Spirit", but in 2003 Eugene leaves because he started to listen other kind of music. During their early existence Sufferatory didn’t perform very often and emphasize on zealous rehearsals. Delays with recording an upcoming release were due to the problems with their line-up and especially with vocalists. In 2005 Sufferatory finds Bulat, the vocalist of a band called Encrypted (demonic death metal), who was interested in participating in a brutal death band. Same year Compulsory Martyrdom was reissued by Coyote Records from Moscow. In 2006 Sufferatory again entered the studio and recorded a two-track EP titled ‘Malformed Ignorance’ which unfortunately was never released. In 2007 Klim decided to move to another city and band searched for new bassist. Soon Max ‘Ziarath’ joined as their new bass player. With their new line-up, Bulat - vocals, Paul - guitars, Max - bass and Lenar - drums, they recorded Pseudophilosophic MCD at Sphinx studios and K-Sound. In the same year band signs contracts with Sevared Records and Butchered Records for the release of Pseudophilosophic MCD, which was finally out in April 2008. In 2009 the band contributed two tracks for their next release, the 4-way split Slamseason Split 3, with Unburied, Mortal Torment and Demise (7), which was released by Coyote Records. Line-up: Bulat - vocals Paul - guitars Max - bass Lenar - drums
