Band,
Jazz
Summit Reunion began as Soprano Summit, as co-leaders Bob Wilber and Kenny Davern both doubled on soprano saxophone and clarinet. After the band broke up, it reunited a few years later, though by that time, Davern had quit playing soprano saxophone to focus on clarinet, hence the slight change in the band's name. Summit Reunion's supporting musicians typically included pianist Dick Hyman, bassist Milt Hinton, drummer Bobby Rosengarden and guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, though Wilber and Davern performed and recorded with other musicians as well under that name, as recordings were issued on Nagel Heyer and Jazzology with other lineups.
