Super 8 Cynics are a four-piece new wave-influenced pop group from the North West of England, consisting of Ady Hall (vocals, guitars, synthesizers, percussion), Mike Healey (synthesizers), Jack Ellis (bass guitar) and Paul Barlow (drums).Their first single, a cover of "Bitter Heart" by 1980s Ricky Gervais-fronted new wave band Seona Dancing, was released by Longevity Records in August 2012.
