Superfour was born in Brixton, brought up following the local sounds Stereograph, Taurus and King Tubbies. As a youth he was too shy to ask for the mike at shows, but he began to MC at parties. It wasn't until he moved to New York in the early Nineties that, encouraged by his Uncle Howie and local figure Surbarul he began to MC more seriously. He started performing with Stingray Sound from the Mount Vernon area of New York and then the bigger Atomic. Superfour co-founded The Concrete Jungle Crew a group of local MCs and poets. The group grew to prominence in N.Y.C and opened for visiting Jamaican acts like Stone Love, Jigsy King and Tony Curtis. Superfour had his first releases with The Concrete Jungle Crew on their own label. After an accident he began to go blind and was obliged to return to England. In England, Superfour was signed to a deal by the Big Brother company who at that time were riding high in the charts with a tune of the same name. Nothing came of the deal however, and he began recording and touring with the Mancini Crew a garage outfit. In 2003 Superfour went to Jamaica and began to chat with Fantasy Hi Fi, Kingston 11 and later, with bigger Sounds in 2 Mile. He was working on solo material when he hooked up with Trojan Sound System.
