A.k.a. Susan E. Mazer
Susan was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Wayne State University. She had a full-time career as a jazz harpist, performing with Dallas Smith (3), Ahmad Jamal, Frank Sinatra and Julio Iglesias. While working in healthcare, she is a co-founder of Healing HealthCare Systems, thought leader and knowledge expert on how the environment of care impacts the patient experience. She is a well-published author, having written articles and whitepapers for major healthcare journals and periodicals focusing on noise in hospitals, speech privacy, patient safety, elder care, and other related topics. Susan earned her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University, where she also holds a Master of Arts degree. She was previously awarded a graduate fellowship to Stanford University where she completed her Master of Arts in Musicology
