German-born saxophone and lute player, died 10th May 2012 at the age of 62. Swagato (born Uli Bracher) lived in Cabo Verde for many years and released the CDs ‘Sabura’ and ‘Amazed by your Face (En kantod k’bo Rosto)’ together with the band Olinôs. He played and recorded with numerous capeverdian artists such as Gabriela Mendes, Bau, Dulce Mathias, Nando da Cruz, Cheka, Homero Fonseca, among many others.
