Swick is Melbourne’s own well shaken can of bubbly fizzy drink. With an arsenal of releases on labels such as Mad Decent, Main Course, Enchufada, Dim Mak, Top Billin, No Brainer, Sweat It Out and more. The young producer has quickly gained a reputation for tight drums, energetic synths and catchy vocal chops. It’s not only his original production which has been turning heads though, In 2013 he released a collaborative EP with Diplo titled “Keep it Gully” on Mad Decent as well as that he has also collaborated with Major Lazer, Bot, Douster, Astronomar, Lewis Cancut, Tkay Maidza and more. He has received support from world renowned tastemakers such as Diplo, A-Trak, Skrillex, Crookers, Steve Aoki, Baauer, Teki Latex, Toddla T, RL Grime, Congorock and Nina Las Vegas to name but just a few. Just Recently he wrote the music for Jennifer Lopez’s latest single ‘Booty’ featuring Pitbull. So as you can probably tell, things have been busy for the Melbourne based Producer. Swick has no care for genre but respect for all at the same time. Diplo states “Swick’s vibe is always a bit more broken liquid and thats how he keeps that 4x4 uptempo fresh and bangin”. Both his DJ sets and tracks pull inspiration from a wide range of different musical styles. He takes inspiration from Football Stadiums, Internet Hackers, Bananas, Computer Games, Soda Cans and Worldwide Styles to create his own special unique sound.
