Rapper Bill Basi aka Syndrome aka Devious Monk was born in UK but left the country at about 8 yrs old. He grew up in San Diego, California and now lives in the UK. Syndrome stepped in the game in 1993 when he had his 1st "№1 radio single" in Toronto, Canada. "I was bout 15 or 16. The track was called "YMT Shake" and released on Quality Records that had signed me at the time. I started workin on a hip-hop radio show from there dropped my official 1st album "Devious Styles" in 1996 that was the most controversial album at the time 4 Canada" - Bill explains in the interview for FromThaGutta.com.
