Single UK 1981 on Cube Records label
Rock (Glam)
Issued in a picture sleeve crediting both T. Rex and Marc Bolan; labels only credit T. Rex; from back cover: "1970 was a transition period in musical direction, changing from the flower power hippy movement of the late sixties, to the raunchy Glam Rock period of 1971-1973. It is said that Marc Bolan started the Glam Rock era, but what cannot be argued is that during his career Marc had 24 singles in the Top 50 – eleven of which were Top 20, 10 Top 10's, 4 no. 1's and 4 no. 2's. The two tracks on this single were both released in 1971. Both were featured on the Electric Warrior album (Hi Fly 6). Jeepster has never lost it's [sic] appeal, and is still played in discos and on the radio. Originally backed with Life's A Gas it reached number 2. Get It On was an A side backed with Raw Amp. It was Marc's second number one that year and stayed at the top for four weeks. For further information on Marc Bolan send an S.A.E. to: Official Marc Bolan Fan Club, P.O. Box 5, Trowbridge, Wiltshire."
