Electronic and Dance
Tod (means "death" in german) began making dark experimental electronic music in Tenerife (Canary Islands) in the early 90s, influenced by acts like Einstuerzende Neubauten, Esplendor Geometrico, DAF, The Klinik, Calva y Nada, Pankow, Das Ich, etc. and by artistic movements, especially futurism, dadaism and expressionism. After the first tape he changed the alias to T.O.D. (The Other Dimension). The idea behind the music was to compose something unique and very personal, but always including ironic and sarcastic elements. He only made one or very few copies of each self release and usually created his own tape and cd cases. In december 1999 he gave his first and last concert together with Subversive Cyborg, using broken synths, an anvil, a hammer, a plate and a fork. The artist moved to Germany and continued making music until 2002. It has been rumored that he committed suicide after his last song "Last Symphony" when he was 27 years old.
