Conductor of Classical
The Polish conductor, Tadeusz Wicherek, became in 1986 the prise-winner of “The 3rd Grzegorz Fitelberg International Competition For Conductors” in Katowice. From 1984 to 1989 Tadeusz Wicherek was the assistant conductor of The Great Theatre - Polish National Opera in Warsaw and concurrently - the lecturer in The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music. He conducted the Symphony Orchestra and the Opera Ensembles of the Academy. In 1989 he performed J. Haydn Opera “Die Welt auf dem Monde” and the musical “Hilfe die Hermanns Kommen” in Hamburg with his very own music. Since 1990 Tadeusz Wicherek has been conducting The Warsaw Chamber Opera with which he was participating in preparation and performance of all W.A. Mozart' s stage works. From 1991 to 1995 he was The Artistic Director of The Lower Silesia Philharmonic. In addition, in the years 1999-2005 - The General and Artistic Director of The Kalisz Philharmonic. Since 1990 he has been a conductor. Since 2007 - The Director of The Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, known by its television program “With Baton and Humour” with which he has performed many concerts, mainly in Germany. Tadeusz Wicherek has performed active concert work in Poland, Europe, Asia, Northern and Central America. He has made many archive recordings for Polish Radio and Television and what is more, film scores. He recorded many CD’s in Poland, Germany and Finland. He is the musical author to several theatre plays. Tadeusz Wicherek took part in many international festivals, for instance: The Mozart Festival in Warsaw, Vienna, The Netherlands and Spain; Wratislavia Cantans; Warsaw Autumn and Carintischer Sommer Festival in Austria. He is the founder of The International Percussion Music Festival in Kalisz. Together with The Great Theatre in Poznań he called into existence The Kalisz Opera Stage, where he conducted The Magic Flute, Madama Butterfly, Fidelio, Rigoletto, The Gypsy Baron and Phantoms by Stanislaw Moniuszko. Since March 2007 Tadeusz Wicherek has been The General and Artistic Director of The Symphony Orchestra of Karol Namyslowski in Zamość. He has also been The Artistic Director of The Zamość Culture Festival of Marek Grechuta and The Italian Culture Festival: Arte Cultura Musica e… in Zamość. Furthermore, Tadeusz Wicherek directs. In December 2007 he performed The Haunted Manor by Stanisław Moniuszko in Zamość (musical management and direction). He constantly cooperates with The Great Theatre, The Polish National Opera in Warsaw - the most recent premiere In the Land of The Magic Flute.
