Named after an American porn magazine Mark Coyle once picked up whilst on tour with Noel Gallagher in the USA. Mark Coyle is a British music producer, often acknowledged as the sixth member of Oasis. Coyle worked as a sound technician for many Mancunian bands throughout the 1980's including the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays. Coyle has been a friend of Noel Gallagher for many years, having met when working as roadies for the Inspiral Carpets in the late 1980s. He and Gallagher also wrote and recorded dance music together during this time. When Gallagher joined his younger brother's band, Oasis, Coyle was brought in as sound technician, a position he held until 1995. He also produced the majority of Oasis debut album Definitely Maybe, which included the demo of Married With Children, which had been recorded in the bedroom of Coyle's house. Noel drummed on a select number of tracks on the debut album of Coyle's band, Tailgunner. Tailgunner, formed in 2000 with the original line-up being Coyle, Paul Stacey on bass and Noel Gallagher playing drums on the Album. They played a string of gigs around the country and received rave reviews. Select magazine descirbed 'Tailgunner' as, '...a lesson in swampy dirty ass rock 'n' roll...'. After a year of playing gigs and a long series of fumbles on the part of the record companies the band seemed to dissapear, Coyle doing odd solo acoustic performances.
