Japanese jazz pianist & keyboard player. Born August 21, 1945 in Miyako-shi, Iwate. Died January 12, 2006. He first came to notice when he joined Sadao Watanabe's quartet in 1973. He formed Native Son in 1978. He was married to the jazz singer Chico Honda.
