Finnish heavy metal band. Tarot was originally formed by the Hietala brothers in the early 80s. Back then the band’s name was Purgatory. When they got their record deal, the label wanted the name changed and they became Tarot. Current members: Marco Hietala – lead and backing vocals, bass, acoustic guitars (1986- ) Zachary Hietala – guitars (1986- ) Janne Tolsa – keyboards (1988- ) Tommi Salmela – backing and lead vocals, sampler (1996- ) Former members: Mako H - guitar (1986–1988) Pecu Cinnari – drums (1986-2016, R.I.P. )
