Full name (in Dutch): 'Het Koninklijke Zigeuner Orkest Tata Mirando'. Translated: 'The Royal Gipsy Orchestra of Tata Mirando'. Founded in the early years of the 20th century by Tata Mirando. It's still active, based in The Netherlands and nowadays lead by Djangela Mirando, a grandson of Tata. Around 1913, the orchestra got the predicate 'Royal' by the great dutchess Louise von Baden. In the second half of the twentieth century the Mirando Orchestra was a regular seen guest at the Dutch Royal Palace Soestdijk. Djangela and his ensemble performed at the Royal Palace Huis ten Bosch, for the occasion of the 75th birthday of former Dutch Queen Beatrix.
