Let us go back 1000 years and experience a time, where colossal fortresses of stone loomed up against the sky, dragons’ blazing flames lightened up the firmament and minstrels and minnesingers wandered through the land. Taurisca continues the minstrels’ tradition in the 21st century. With bagpipes and electronically amplified lutes they take you on a journey through their stories...Taurisca is a metal band from Vienna, formed in 2015. Their genre is mostly melodic death metal with smaller influences of folk and black metal. Catchy melodies get stuck in the audience’s heads while heavy riffs turn the cheering crowd into a head banging mob and the first mosh pit is not long in coming. The bagpipes’ sharp voice in combination with mostly ancient lyrics gives Taurisca’s shows a medieval appearance. Taurisca tells in German and English language about epic battles, laments and excesses but also contemporary topics. After they brought their stories to the people at epic live performances, Taurisca created their first studio album“Winter”, which was released in April 2018.
