A.k.a. Driver 67

A British-based act formed by Paul Phillips, and Pete Zorn in 1976, and signed to Logo in 1978; after a couple of years demoing their material to a variety of record labels. Whilst he had been working as a taxi driver, Phillips had penned a track called 'Car 67', which he played to Logo suggesting it as a side project. The track was released under the alias 'Driver 67' and reached no.7 in the UK charts, so they continued to use this name for another two singles, but resorted back to Tax Loss in late-1979 for the release of the album, and further singles. By 1981, relations between the band and their label had deteriorated to such a degree that Phillips chose to leave the industry all together, and with this departure came the demise of Tax Loss. They never gigged. Peter Zorn continued on with his session work, which he'd been doing since the early-1970s.
