One of the first major Australian singer,Composer, Playwright, Actor and Entertainer In in 1955 Ted began as a teen-age singing sensation, Ted began performing in nightclubs, and live, on National radio, guest starring on The Ford Show. Also enjoying hit records with "Primrose Lane" and "The things we did last summer" Ted, was also the featured singer, with The Bob Gibson band, Australia's, premier Swing-band; and the Australian All-stars, jazz quintet. Ted, guest starred on Australia's, first variety show, broadcast on New Years Eve, on ABC TV. Then followed starring roles, in all of the variety shows, on all channels. The hit parade [aBC] Make mine music [aBC] Bandstand, Sydney tonight. Ted made his debut as singer/songwriter and starred with many of the top musicians and groups of the day, including: Don Burrows; Terry Wilkinson; Errol Buddle Bob Gibson's swing- band The Australian Jazz Quintet and The Australian all stars. Voted Best singer, Jazz and pop by: Bandstand and Downbeat. Ted was the featured singing star, on the legendary and seminal, Revue 61 and Revue 62 TV shows, for the 7 Network; Best singer and national variety show award. Ted compared IMT (In Melbourne Tonight) on Monday nights on Channel 9. He provided the Voiceimage for some of Australia's most popular and successful commercials. In 1962, he provided backing vocals on the iconic Australian 'Louie the Fly' jingle for pest control brand Mortein. Ted was in the undefeated World Champion Squash team. He competed for: Victoria, NSW and Australia, 1962-1970. Ted starred in the famous Australian TV Series, Division 4, a Crawford productions, as Senior Constable, Kevin Dwyer, winning best actor and best drama awards. He also performed in a number of national theatre productions. In 2002 Ted performed in the international television series titled Guinevere Jones for the Ten Network.
