A.k.a. Edward Wade
Captain Edward 'Ted' Wade. Former musical director of the Jamaica Defence Forces (JDF). In 1962 his composition "Jamaicans Proud We Stand Today" was chosen in a competition as the Jamaican national anthem, but it was rejected at the last moment due to the fact Wade was an Englishman by birth in favour of a native Robert Lightbourne's composition "Jamaica, Land We Love".
