Producer of Dance
A.k.a. Oskar Wintertidh, Anders Hammer
Telescope was formed in the year of 2000 (C.E.), and consists today of Oskar Wintertidh and Anders Hammer. Anders is a trained musician and thus the musical engine of Telescope, whilst Oskar mainly functions as the group’s producer. Oskar took his first steps as a producer in the early 90’s, when he as a teenager found out about the fantastic music software Fasttracker II. Anders has, except for his background as a pianist, participated in many heavy metal and pop projects as a bassist and a keyboardist. Anders and Oskar have been friends since a day about 17 years ago, when Oskar discovered Anders’ ample collection of Superman movies and Lego. The musical co-operation began in a bus in 1998 (C.E.), where Anders mockingly questioned Oskar’s recent acquirement of a pricey sampler; the same sampler which today, about five years later, has been used in the production of Telescope’s latest album: Ascension. Telescope is today one of the most promising acts in the Trance genre. With a continental trance sound, heavy rhytms and strong melodies, Telescope has already enthralled listeners and clubbers all around Europe. With both remixes and a promo single, “Melody”, they’ve reached important chart positions in England, outranking famous names such as Ferry Corsten. In their home country, Sweden, they’ve reached as high as number five on the official single list, above acts as Scooter, ATB and Prodigy. Now Telescope releseases their first album, “Ascension”, which is expected to become a huge success. Many of Telescope’s productions are designed to also reach a sizable audience on the broadcasting side, to alert listeners who have not yet had the pleasure to discover trance and its many colorful elements. Except for the Melody single and a remix of Vinyl Junkie and Cruz’ “Hard + Funky”, Telescope has also contributed to many a trance compilation.
