Album UK 2014 on Sombre Soniks label
Electronic and Rock (Avant-garde, Experimental, Psychedelic Rock)
From the Liner Notes: "Sombre Soniks are very excited to announce a new release from thee excellent and eklektik Temple Music this month with ‘Endotaph’, their new work featuring five kompositions with a deeply psychedelik feel. From thee artist: "Endotaph’, the new album by Temple Music, continues in the same vein as last year’s ‘Thanatafferent matter’, although with less of an overall krautrock/kosmische vibe, and more of a harking back to the bands drone/psych roots. Recorded entirely at Bridge House Studios on the Greek island of Evia there is inevitably a Greek-tinged hue to the proceedings. The album opens with ‘ο Oυρανός’, the tale of the emasculation of the primal earth god Uranus at the hands of his son, Cronos; in sonic terms it’s almost ‘In Search of Space’ era Hawkwind. ‘Feldsparring’ is one of the two more traditionally guitar based tracks; the other being the title track ‘Endotaph’ ;both are drone/psych/stoner in nature. ‘Leiche’ is a space take on the Lyke Wake Dirge, and the final track is a setting of a new translation of the celebrated Greek poet CP Cavafy’s ‘And I Lounged And Lay On Their Beds’."
