Eritrean guitarist, composer and band leader He was born 1941 in Asmara. He moved to Addis Abeba in 1969 to make a living as musician where he then recorded for labels such as Philips and Amha. He released 7" by himself or was backing other musicians with his band. In the mid-1970s he left Ethiopia when the province of Eritrea started fighting for independence. In 1989 he flew to the Netherlands where he still lives today.
