Created by saxophonist Stéphane Payen, Thôt had their first concert in 1998 at the French club Instants Chavirés and their first CD release in 2000. Still active since then and at times morphing itself in a bigger unit (Thôt Agrandi), the band has multiplied collaborations, residencies and creations, the last in date being The Red Light (a co-production Tribu Festival / Banlieues Bleues) in 2011.
