A.k.a. Jakob Beks Balconia Q Jakob Bekš Stashman & The LSD Anarchist
Tha Disko Don is a retired alias of Jakob Bekš a.k.a. DJ 1983. Fatally enchanted by Detroit techno and electro around the turn of the millenium, he soon embraced influences from eclectic genres accross the musical spectrum, leading to the formation of various alter-egos to accomodate different output. Co-founder of Scienceofuse, an independent electronic music record label / music collective. Vice manager of the now infamous Gumitwist club nights. Purveyor of infinite styles from contemplative to abrasive. His first release was the track "Protodisko" on the "K4 Format 2" compilation in 2009, which charted briefly on the Juno Top Disco Sales chart. He has since collaborated with the Inn Kick, Sezam and Stiropor labels, most notably releasing the track "Clairvoyant" on the 2015 "Stiropor vol.2" compilation. Currently based in Berlin, Germany.
