The Creolettes are a vocal backing group, sessioning and appearing in live performances of New Orleans & Louisiana Creole Jazz, jazz-funk & 'voodoo culture' or 'Zydeco' music - most notably on releases by Mac Rebennack, aka Dr. John or Dr. John, The Night Tripper. The group are credited on the Dr. John album, "Hollywood Be Thy Name" as; Tami Lynn, Robbie Montgomery, and Venetta Fields [credited Vanetta]. However, this group name may be used to include/credit other vocal members of Dr. John's entourage. Members of The Creolettes were also known as the Mirettes, who were the formally known as the Ikettes - performing with Ike & Tina Turner.
