Band, 1964-1969 US
Rock and Pop
American rock group, formed 1964 on Long Island, NY. The original lineup consisted of vocalist John Dizek, guitarist Richard McKenna, drummer Jon Small, and organist Harry Weber. In 1966 Weber was fired from the band due to excessive drug use and was replaced by Howard Blauvelt and Billy Joel on bass and keyboards respectively, both previously with The Lost Souls (2). With this lineup the band released two albums, The Hassles (1967) and Hour Of The Wolf (1968), as well as one non-LP single Travelin' Band (1969) before disbanding in 1969. Small and Joel went on to form Attila (5).
