The Kansas City Tomcats

In 1955, Walter Spriggs joined The Kansas City Tomcats, a rhythm & blues group that also included Brooks Lewis, Jimmy Waters, and Kansas Citians Leonard Enois and Eddie Saunders (3). In October of 1955 the group auditioned for Jubilee Records and were soon recorded. In November Jubilee releases the record on its Josie label as #786 - "Meet Me Meet Me Baby" and "Nobody Knows". In May 1956 Josie released a second single by the group with "Blues For Josie" and "Don't You Know" as #798.
