This is release from Frontier Records is a compilation for the U.S. market: Tracks 01 to 04 were produced by Ward Dotson and first issued on the 'A Fate Worse Than a Fate Worse Than Death' CD EP, which was released in Australia by Rubber Records at the beginning of February 1994 (RUB030 / ID0026-2). Tracks 05 to 07 were first issued in Australia on a limited edition 'Bleed' bonus disc (500 copies), which was released by Rubber Records in May 1993 (ID 0013/2). Tracks 08 to 13 were first issued in Australia on the standard version of The Affected's debut album 'Bleed', which was released by Rubber Records in May 1993 (ID 0013/2). According to the booklet's liner notes, these tracks were remixed for this American release of 'Fate...' After a short silence at the end of Track 13 'Empty Promises', there's a hidden track (1:07) which also appeared on the Australian CD EP version of 'A Fate Worse Than a Fate Worse Than Death'.
