Singer of R&B/Soul and Pop
South African vocalist trio, originally known as the Black Angels comprising of sisters Tu and Marilyn Nokwe as well as Jean Madubane. In July 1984 they were requested to back Sipho Mabuse at Durban’s Kings Park Stadium and impressed enough people that they were featured on Allen Kwela's next solo recording the same year and were soon signed to RPM under producer Mac Mathunjwa. Following several successful maxi singles, 1987 saw the release of their full album "Mr No Problem". Lead vocalist Jean Madubane died in a car crash near Kroonstad on Sunday, 20 September 1987 while on tour with Stimela. The Nokwe sisters would keep the name of the Angels alive.
