THE ANGRY CATS 1ST 4 TRACK EP IS OUT! We are The Angry Cats, a rock’n’roll trio based in Paris, and we have just released our debut 4 Track EP, available as a CD or on all music platforms. Our original songs, in English, are influenced by both rockabilly, rock’n’roll and country standards, but also by other music that we have been listening to or playing in our lives. Our sound is therefore very personal, both classic and doped by a multiform and rebellious energy: one of rock’n’roll since its origins. Both music and lyrics are enhanced by a contemporary willpower and consciousness: Fan the Flames of Discontent is an enthusiastic rock’n’roll manifesto, Olvidado, a Mexicanglish ballad, I Will Not Touch You, a tribute to consent in sexual relationships and Train Kept a- Rollin’, a new version of the very famous classic. The four tracks have been recorded in Paris and mixed in London by Tristan Mazire, and mastered in New York by Drew Cappotto (Masterdisk). El Gato designed the artwork for the CD, using a photo from Baldo in addition to the logo of the band that he created, showing great talent. THE ANGRY CATS ARE: FRED ALPI: VOCALS, GUITAR. Born in Sweden, Fred lives in Amiens, Brussels and Berlin before coming to Paris, where he sings his own songs, in French, in a blues/rock acoustic duo (four albums, more info on www.fredalpi.com). Wanting to satisfy his need for electricity and his desire to sing in English, he realizes an old dream, and creates The Angry Cats in order to be –finally – able to play and meow in a style he has been loving for ever. However, Fred wants to revitalize the style by integrating his own experience into it, acquired during musical adventures that led him since his teens from Punk rock to industrial music through Country music, Texas blues and Rockabilly. CHRIS GIANORSI: DRUMS Coming from Nice, Chris falls in love with drums when he's only a kid. Serving a headstrong rock music, he is known for his eruptive beat and the strong foundation of his playing. Before giving a highly charged and sharp swing to The Angry Cats, he has held the sticks for Caligagan, Chinaski, Raoul Chichin, and Mickey and The Goodfellas, amongst others. According to Chris: « Music has a genuine social function. Let’s share it! » TOM DECAESTECKER: BASS GUITAR Born in the heart of Flemish fog, Tom starts his route as musician as guitar player and blues singer. Back from a long journey of initiation in South America, of which he discovers both the music and the enchantments, he switches to bass guitar with Guarapita, a band with which he plays numerous gigs and records three albums. Also wishing to find the character and the vitality of the rock’n’roll trios of the origins, he joins The Angry Cats. ROCK’N’RIOT IN TOWN!
