Single UK 1964 on Parlophone label
Rock (Rock’n’Roll, Beat)
Please note on date: many sites give this as 6 November 1964 but this date seems to one erroneously attributed to this in the 1970s and transferred without question over the decades. It has been repeatedly questioned in recent years and given the printer's date of December and the chart date of January 1965 is unlikely. Please see the submission history for more. First pressing. A&B: NORTHERN SONGS / NCB Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd…” printed in upper case letters at the start perimeter print and "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED" note. "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS SEE PRICE LISTS" on push-outs. Side A: (1) Serif type face (2) Left-hand track number "1" under the "E" in "7TCE" (3) Right-hand track number "1" under the "89" in "GEP 8924" Side B: (1) Serif type face (2) Left-hand track number "2" under the "CE" in "7TCE" (3) Right-hand track number "2" under the "89" in "GEP 8924" Extracts From The Album A Hard Day's Night is similar, but has a sleeve with diagonal back side flaps and different track number alignment on labels.
