Album UK on Nowhere Man Records label
Rock and Spoken Word (Interview, Pop Rock, Beat)
" We love you Beatles , Oh yes we do " chanted and screamed the fans in 1964. Stones fans on the other hand...who were made up of more males than females, had a different approach..."We want the Stones" was their war cry.... Strange as it may seem nearly 50 years on fans of both bands were in two completely seperate camps. If you liked the Beatles, you didn't like the Stones and vice versa. Although there was a lot of rivalry between the bands, there was also a lot of cooperation from the early days of I Wanna Be Your Man in the 60s, John producing Too Many Cooks in the 70s , Dancing In The Street in the 80s,The Dylan anniversary concert in the 90s and finally Love Letters with Bill and Ringo in 2000. Bearing in mind how prolific Paul is at the moment, future collaborations cannot be ruled out. The respect that they had for each other was such that they would check release dates with each other so as not to generate a clash, they never (so far as I can recall) toured at the same time either in the UK, Europe or the US. No one will need reminding of the famous colaborations. We Love You, Baby You're A Rich Man etc but there were numerous less well known joint ventures. The two legends, never did actually collide although they did sing together....not on CD 4 of this collection though. These are the tracks that have appeared throughout their bootleg histories none of which feature any of the Beatles or for that matter, the Stones either. Some are reasonably good "soundalikes" some blatant cash ins and others just pure...well you get the picture. They are presented here for your enjoyment, loathing or sheer bewilderment. Gathered here are all that we can find....please feel free to add to it if you have more. As usual this is a fan created collection for fans, share it freely amongst your friends.
