The Bee Men were contemporaries of Broadcast, Pram, Plone, L'Augmentation, Novak etc, who all hailed from Birmingham, UK in the late 1990s. The groups all covered different ground but shared a certain similar aesthetic, drawing influence from old vinyl found at car boot sales and charity shops along with odd cinema, art and literature. The Jug Of Ale was the venue.
