THE BOY CALLED HEDGE is a singer-songwriter project of Bernhard Mueller, Cologne, Germany. Since the beginning of the 80s he makes home-recorded electronic music. In 1982, with his brother Martin and friend Norbert he formed the band $CHWARZER FREITAG $chwarzer Freitag. They later released two songs on two rare German Minimal New Wave (NDW) record samplers. His music can be caracterized as minimal synth-pop, kraut-disco or proto-techno. His music is influenced by David Bowie, The Human League, Heaven17, Depeche Mode, Prince, Electro, Postpunk, Industrial, Black Soul, Funk, Dance and House Music from the 70s until now.
