Batten Company opened in a single room on Park Row in New York City. In subsequent years, it thrived, and in 1928, merged with Barton, Durstine and Osborn creating BBDO, a worldwide advertising agency with 15,000 employees. BBDO issued this promotional album for Geo. A. Hormel & Co. of Austin, Minn. to support sales of the company's canned chili.
