The Buckwheat Boyz

1997-2002
Hip-Hop/Rap

The Buckwheat Boyz was a musical group founded by Marcus Bowens and Jermain Fuller with the later addition of J.J. O'Neal and Dougy Williams and finally Randall Frye. The Buckwheat Boyz were signed by Koch Records, and recorded their first and only full-length song. The song was 'Peanut Butter & Jelly' which became an internet superhit after a flash music video featuring an animated dancing banana was created. The song was also used in a music video featuring a dancing stormtropper. The popularity of the song increased as it was featured on television shows such as The Proud Family, Family Guy and Regular Show.
