Band, US
The Campfire Collaboration consists of Robert den Hartigh, Mario Petrus and Rik van Berlo. They bring a mix of old-time country/folk/Americana. The band is inspired by the music of the Dillards, the Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, the Osborne Brothers and the Weavers. The threesome’s harmony singing and broad range of acoustic instrumentation (steelguitar, double-bass, ukulele, bluesharp, mandola, guitar, mandoline, banjo and Dobro) gives a traditional sound and feel to a repertoire made up of original songs as well as selections since the end of 1800. Earlier they played at the European World of Bluegrass-festival (EWOB), the folkfestivals Folkwoods and Orfest, as supportact with the Pine Box Boys and The Hackensaw Boys and at the popfestival Breda Barst. Also they had gigs in Irish pubs, bars and party’s.
