Philadelphia area teenage doowop quintet who are not to be confused with their more famous namesakes from Queens, NY. Formed in 1953, The Capris were comprised of Ruben Wright, Charlie Stroud, Eddie Warner, Harrison Scott, and Bobby Smart. Lead singer Charlie Stroud was replaced by 14-year old Renee Hinton in 1954. The group's greatest success came with the release of "God Only Knows," in 1954. The group disbanded in 1958.
