Beatgroup from the villages Blaricum and Hilversum (Netherlands) and active between 1963 - 1967. The name is founded because of the caps they always wear during performances. In 1964/1965 the band released 3 singles on the Philips label, who never made it to the charts. De Boer, Ankersmit and Ombach are replaced in 1966 by Mart Jan van der Molen, Bert Ruiter and Kees Brunott. They never made records after that. In 1967 the band broke up. Bert Ruiter went to a famous dutch progrock band, called Focus (2). Roy Beltman, would become a producer and also did some producing for BZN and Bonnie St. Claire. Roy Beltman was member of the Caps between 1963 to 1967. He died in 2005.
