The Cathedral Singers is an independent ensemble of sixteen young professional singers residing in the Chicago area. These singers participate in a wide range of musical activity, from early music performance to jazz and musical theatre. Their collective experience and superb musicianship contribute to a unique interpretation of many styles of choral music Founded in 1991 primarily as a recording ensemble, The Cathedral Singers have produced 10 compact disc recordings for the GIA/Canticum label, under the direction of well-known conductor and composer Richard Proulx.
