Danny McCormack, whose previous punk rock outfit The Yo-Yo's split earlier this year, is now fronting The Chasers, whose EP 'Onwards And Upwards' was released this week. The band consists of Danny (bass and vocals), Neil Chaser (guitar and vocals), Paul Buckingham (keyboards and vocals), Darrell Bath (guitar and vocals) and Mark 'Mayhem' Mayhew (drums). The band was formed after McCormack left the Wildhearts reformation tour of July early owing to illness, and with the help of South Shields record store Changes One (who are releasing the band's first two EPs), recorded the six tracks which feature on 'Onwards and Upwards'.
