A band of Chicago blues musicians assembled by French blues promotor and record producer Didier Tricard for a one-off tour of Europe in July 1978. The package featured the following line-up: Andrew Odom, vocals Jimmy Johnson (8), guitar and vocals Hubert Sumlin, guitar and vocals Eddy Clearwater, guitar and vocals Dave Myers, bass and vocals Odie Payne, drums and vocals Tour Dates: The package played major European festivals and cities including: July 06: Nice, France, Grand Parade Du Jazz July 07: Orange, France July 08: Lyon, Auditorium, France July 09: Montreux, Switzerland July 10 - 14: Nice, France, Grand Parade Du Jazz July 15: The Hague, Netherlands, North Sea Jazz Festival July 16: Andernos, France July 17: Manosque, France July 18-19: OFF July 20: Castres, France July 21: London, England, Hammersmith Odeon July 22: Faro, Portugal, Algarve Jazz Festival July 23: OFF July 24: Gothenburg, Sweden July 25: Stockholm, Sweden Also on this tour, performing their own set as a separate act, were Buddy Guy & Junior Wells. Guy and Wells did not always bring their regular backing musicians with them, so they were backed by Jimmy Johnson, Dave Myers and Odie Payne. The Montreux show was published by Black & Blue in 1978: Live In Montreux. Tracks by the musicians of the Chicago Blues All Stars 1978 were added as bonus tracks with later releases.
