Rock and R&B/Soul
A short-term doo wop ensemble featuring Augie Austin, Eddie Singleton, and unknown members. "Too Late" with "My Heart Let Me Be Free," released on Brunswick Records in 1958 did OK but not enough to cause a commotion or any significant chart activity. Singleton recorded some still unreleased sides on Old Town records before the Chromatics and later involved himself in a myriad of recording ventures. He married Raynoma Singleton-Gordy, Berry Gordy's second wife. Eddie and Raynoma started Shrine records in Washington, D.C., an unsuccessful venture that bellied up less than two years after its emergence.
